About us

Awareness Campaigns

Fountain of Hope believes in equipping its beneficiaries with the right knowledge and information, for lack of information results in vulnerability and making uninformed decisions which threatens the possibility of a bright future. Our Awareness Programs are programmed to cover issues that affect young people and children such as all forms of abuse against children, drugs and substance abuse, gender-based violence [GBV], and domestic violence. We also conduct clean-up campaigns to ensure sustainable environmental care. Fountain of Hope has partnered with various organizations such 4 Youth By Youth, Drug Haven, and Youth Advocates Zimbabwe to push the fight against drugs and substance abuse and help already addicted youth.

Clean Up Awareness Campaigns

Clean-up campaigns are a way of reminding the community of the importance of keeping the environment clean. We promote recycling and emphasize the need to protect the environment for future generation.

Environmental healthcare has also risen over the years and Fountain of Hope takes environmental care seriously as it helps in achieving our objectives to create a conducive environment for the development of young people.

National Anti-Drugs Campaign

Fountain of Hope was part of the NATIONAL ANTI-DRUG CAMPAIGN that was launched by the government of Zimbabwe in partnership with other youth associations such as Youth Advocates Zimbabwe, YADIT, One Africa Trust, and local churches.

The campaign provided a conducive educational platform to educate young people and members of the community on the dangers of drugs and substance abuses.

Gender Based Violence

Our goal is to end all forms of violence against women, children, and adolescents. We use the multi-sectorial care mechanism to give survivors all the support they need and help them get justice, freedom, and safety. The awareness part of these programs includes promoting community dialogue held and conducted by community leaders and training women and girls to know their rights and learn to recognize signs of dangers and oppression.

Every year, from the 25th of November to the 10th of December, we
commemorate 10 days of activism against gender-based violence. On the
9th of December 2022 Fountain of Hope joined hands with other
organisations in support of ending violence against women and girls.
The campaign provided a conducive educational platform to teach
young girls and women about their rights and pave their way to have
voice, choice, and control over their lives.
Other organizations that have joined their hands in support of the
program include: For Youth By Youth, 263 Women and Girl Network,
Bolivia Hire and Catering Services, and All Women Advocacy.

“Women’s rights and empowerment are key for economic
development, social stability, and environmental sustainability, no
country in the world can achieve its sustainable development without
unleashing the full potential of women.”
This was the message shared by the Fountain of Hope director, Mr.
Oliver Tembo at the gender-based violence awareness campaign at
Old Harareans Sports club on the 4th of December 2022.
The even was held by The Spotlight Initiative, the European Union,
and the United Nations through the government of Zimbabwe. The
campaign brought together over 50 delegates including government
ministers, members of parliament, European Union, United Nations
representatives, civil society groups, private sector, youth-led
organizations, and the media

Restore hope for a better future for the underprivileged by providing opportunities for social and economic empowerment.
